On November 24, 1991, the world lost arguably one of the most dynamic, electric, and talented artists of our generation. Freddie Mercury had succumbed to AIDS-related pneumonia, leaving behind a vacuum that still hasn’t been filled by any other musical artist.

Now, 30 years later, fans of Queen or Mercury himself have the chance to own a piece of the music legend’s personal collection of items. Beginning in June, Sotheby’s will open the collection to viewers on a world tour through Hong Kong, New York, and LA. If you don’t happen to be in these areas, it’ll also be made available online for viewing. This is a collection described as an “exquisite clutter” of objects, ranging from original “We Are the Champions” lyrics scribbled on airline stationery, to more high-ticket items like artwork from Mercury’s personal collection. Even a Tiffany’s mustache comb will go up on the auction block.

The inspiring life of Mercury won’t soon be forgotten and, in honor of his memory, proceeds from the charity will go to the Mercury Phoenix Trust and the Elton John AIDS Foundation.
